Beginning May 16, we are offering workshops in Vintage Crochet Techniques.
Accessorize a Civil War period dress, complete a theater costume or simply add the look of vintage handwork to your home or wardrobe - these classes will guide you through all the steps so that you can re-create these styles from the past.
May classes are as follows:
Broomstick Lace-
Thursday, May 23, 6 - 8 pm. OR
Saturday, May 25, 1 - 3 pm.
Filet Crochet
Thursday, June 6, 6 - 8 pm. OR
Saturday, June 8, 1 - 3 pm.
Details about these classes are available in our newsletter and on our Classes page, or call or come into the shop to learn more. You can sign up for the entire 6-hour workshop (hairpin, broomstick and filet classes) for just $75, or choose any one 2-hour class for $35 each. We’ll be offering the same workshops as 2-day intensive courses in July - Thursday and Friday, July 11 and 12 or Saturday and Sunday, July 20 and 21.

Coming in June....
We are pleased to announce that Dee O’Keefe of Design by Dee will be offering a 2-day intensive workshop, Beginning Lace Design, on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30.
This inspiring workshop will cover the many aspects of lace knitting, from exploring lace knitting traditions to learning how to read lace charts to facilitate the design process.

Cost for the workshop is $165.00 -
Price includes: Twelve hours of instruction, all supplies for the workshop (please bring swatching yarn and needles), one skein of Dream in Color Baby lace weight yarn, Saturday lunch, our end-of-day reception on Saturday and Sunday, and as a special treat, one of Dee’s published patterns!
Participation in the workshop is limited to 18 people.

Sock Club!
Join our Sock Club (just $!5) and every month you will receive a newsletter featuring our pattern of the month, paired with yarns we think will be a perfect match for that sock. Each time you purchase a sock club yarn you will get a stamp on your Club Card. When you've collected 3 stamps, you will receive an extra discount on your next yarn; 6 stamps will earn discounts on other items in the shop, and 12 stamps will earn a free skein of yarn!
There is no obligation to purchase any of the yarns we offer for the Sock Club; participate when you wish, and skip the ones you'd prefer not to knit. Each month we will also host a Sock Club Tutorial that will help you with any special techniques called for in the pattern for the month. The tutorial will be free for all Club members, and just $20 for non-members. Call or stop in to register.
